Made In Pescadero is
a working gallery, crafting and displaying the very finest
custom furniture, art and accessories by the area's most
talented craftsmen and artists.
Not only does Made In Pescadero carry gallery furniture,
but being a furniture manufacturer, they handcraft much of
it themselves as well. Owner, Ken Periat creates Craftsman
Furniture and Mission Furniture as well as custom furniture.
Cherry and Mahogany bedroom furniture is a favorite. Inspired
by Frank Lloyd Wright, the Greene and Greene Brothers and
Japanese architecture, Ken has developed a style all his
own, as can be seen in the Pita Bed and his Trestle Table.
Believing that function is as important as form, his
pieces are practical to live with and will last for generations.
It is important to Ken that his pieces are affordable,
to achieve this he keeps his designs simple yet elegant and
sells direct thru his gallery.
The Meier Brothers, Robert and Christian, create truly extraordinary
home furniture. Their new Arts and Crafts line is now on
display in the gallery. The "Table Cloth Table" is
their trade mark piece- you have to see one to believe it!
Contemporary furniture with a tad of Shaker furniture
influence can best describe their style. When asked
what their style is Robert Meier simply replies,
"our style is Meier Brothers". The vibrant
Robert Meier can often be found in the gallery on Sundays.
Marcus Jones served his apprenticeship with Ken Periat in
the shop right upstairs in the gallery. Marcus has developed
an impressive collection of solid wood furniture that pleases
the eye as well as the hand. Marcus still works with
Ken on some of Ken's designs. Marcus is quite often
available to chat on Fridays and Saturdays.
Bud Bogle has designed perhaps the most comfortable and
beautiful leather rocking chair we have seen. Working in
a large array of woods and leathers each piece has a look
all it's own. Bud also builds fine dining room furniture
such as chairs and tables.
Located in
the historical town of Pescadero on the California
coast, we invite you to visit our store.
The furniture
makers are often available to talk shop, so drop

the friendly, easy atmosphere of this one of a kind
furniture gallery. |
